Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice
  • 2/3 cup Stonyfield Plain 0% Fat Yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose unbleached white whole wheat flour or gluten-free flour mix
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 spray Cooking spray to prevent sticking

Equipment

  • Waffle maker
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat Your Waffle Maker. Start by preheating your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Step 2: Combine Wet Ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond milk, Stonyfield yogurt, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Step 3: Mix Dry Ingredients. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and kosher salt. Whisk until well mixed.
  4. Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Step 5: Prepare Waffle Maker. Spray your preheated waffle maker with cooking spray.
  6. Step 6: Cook the Waffles. Pour the batter into the waffle maker and cook according to your waffle maker's instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Enjoy. Once cooked, carefully remove the waffles from the maker and serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For crispy waffles, ensure your waffle maker is hot enough before pouring in the batter.
  • Do not overmix the batter; this can lead to dense waffles.
  • Leftover batter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; give it a good stir before using again.
