Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 cup water (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup Prego+ Hidden with Super Veggies
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Other favorite pizza toppings (like pepperoni, green pepper, mushrooms, and more)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking sheet
  • Pizza Cutter
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, sea salt, and sugar. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of the dry ingredients.
  2. Make a well in the center of your dry ingredients and add the olive oil and room temperature water. Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour; if it’s too dry, add a splash of water.
  3. On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. This step is crucial for creating a perfect crust.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small circle (about 6 inches in diameter). You can make them thicker or thinner depending on your preference.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature ensures a crispy crust.
  6. Place the rolled-out dough circles on a baking sheet. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the Prego+ Hidden with Super Veggies sauce on each circle, leaving a little border for the crust. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
  7. Add your favorite toppings! Arrange them on top of the cheese.
  8. Bake the mini pizzas in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Once out of the oven, let the mini pizzas cool for a few minutes. Slice them up and serve warm. Enjoy with a side of fresh salad for a complete meal!
