Ingredients

For the Sandwich:
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese

Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet
  • Spatula
  • Knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easy spreading.
  2. Spread about 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. This will create a beautifully golden crust when grilled.
  3. On the unbuttered side of two slices of bread, layer the cheddar cheese, followed by the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the finely shredded Parmesan cheese evenly over the mozzarella.
  4. Top with the remaining slices of sourdough, buttered side out. You should have two sandwiches ready for grilling.
  5. Place your non-stick skillet over medium heat. Allow it to warm up for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add both sandwiches to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwiches using your spatula.
  7. Cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until it is also golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  8. Once both sides are perfectly crisp, remove the sandwiches from the skillet. Allow them to rest for a minute, then slice in half and serve warm.
