Preparation Steps:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Use a spatula or fork to mix until smooth. Add the garlic powder and seasoned salt, mixing until evenly incorporated.
- Lay out your slices of French bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous amount of the cheese mixture on one side of each slice. Top two of the slices with a combination of shredded cheddar and mozzarella, then place the other slices on top, cheese side down.
- Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Allow it to warm up for a few minutes.
- Carefully place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
- Once the first side is golden, carefully flip the sandwich. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the second side is golden and the cheese is gooey and melted.
