Ingredients
  

For the Cheese Spread:
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp seasoned salt
For the Sandwich:
  • 1 loaf French Bread cut 1/2" thick

Method
 

Preparation Steps:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Use a spatula or fork to mix until smooth. Add the garlic powder and seasoned salt, mixing until evenly incorporated.
  2. Lay out your slices of French bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous amount of the cheese mixture on one side of each slice. Top two of the slices with a combination of shredded cheddar and mozzarella, then place the other slices on top, cheese side down.
  3. Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Allow it to warm up for a few minutes.
  4. Carefully place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once the first side is golden, carefully flip the sandwich. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the second side is golden and the cheese is gooey and melted.
  6. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and allow them to cool for a minute before slicing. Serve warm, and enjoy the melty goodness!
