Ingredients

Method
 

  1. Start by rinsing the chickpeas under cold water to remove excess sodium and improve flavor.
  2. In your food processor, combine the tahini and olive oil. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the rinsed chickpeas to the tahini mixture and blend again for another 1-2 minutes until well incorporated.
  4. Add the garlic cloves, lemon juice, salt, and water. Blend until completely smooth, adding more water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed—add more salt, lemon juice, or garlic based on preference.
  6. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle olive oil on top, and sprinkle with chopped parsley, paprika, and red pepper flakes.

  • For a creamier texture, peel the chickpeas before blending.
