How to Make the Crust:
- Step 1: Prepare the Cauliflower. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower and cut it into smaller florets. Using a food processor, pulse the florets until they resemble rice or breadcrumbs.
- Step 2: Cook the Cauliflower Rice. Transfer the cauliflower rice to a microwave-safe bowl and cover it. Microwave for about 4-5 minutes, until tender. Let it cool for a few minutes.
- Step 3: Squeeze Out the Moisture. Place the cooked cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth. Squeeze out as much moisture as you can.
- Step 4: Combine Ingredients. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained cauliflower, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg, salt, garlic powder, basil, and oregano. Mix well.
- Step 5: Shape the Crust. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer the cauliflower mixture to the sheet and shape it into a round pizza shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Step 6: Bake the Crust. Bake the crust for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and firm. Watch it to avoid burning.
- Step 7: Add Toppings. Once baked, spread marinara sauce over the crust and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and any desired toppings.
- Step 8: Final Bake. Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
