Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Wings:
  • 12 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
For the Marinade:
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for even cooking and crispy skin.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine honey BBQ sauce, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Season with kosher salt and ground black pepper.
  4. Step 4: Add seasoned wings to the marinade, coat well, cover, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Line a baking sheet with foil, place a wire rack on top, and arrange the marinated wings in a single layer.
  6. Step 6: Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Step 7: Brush with additional sweet chili sauce in the last 5 minutes of baking. Serve hot, garnished if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, ensure wings are patted dry before marinating.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to control the saltiness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
