Step-by-Step Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and kosher salt. Set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the room temperature unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until creamy and light in color, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the M&M candies.
  8. Drop rounded balls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
