Ingredients
  

For the Smoothie:
  • 1 large banana pre-sliced into 1" pieces, frozen
  • 6 large strawberries unsweetened, frozen
  • 1/2 inch ginger root fresh sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup skim milk or almond milk, or milk alternative
  • 1/2 cup plain fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Glass or Mason Jar

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Gather all your ingredients. Ensure that your banana and strawberries are frozen for a cold and creamy texture.
  2. If using fresh ginger, slice about 1/2 inch of ginger root. This step is optional.
  3. In your high-speed blender, add the frozen banana, frozen strawberries, fresh ginger (if using), skim milk, Greek yogurt, and wheat germ.
  4. Blend the ingredients on high speed until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. Add more milk if needed.
  5. Taste your smoothie and adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  6. Pour the smoothie into your glass or mason jar. Garnish as desired and enjoy immediately.
