Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Sweetbay Black Angus Ribeye Steaks
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 6 sprigs rosemary fresh
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Grill or grill pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Meat thermometer
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, sliced garlic, and rosemary sprigs. Stir gently to infuse the oil with the garlic and rosemary flavors. This aromatic blend will serve as your marinade.
  2. Place the Sweetbay Black Angus Ribeye Steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let the steaks marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. You want it hot enough to create a beautiful sear on the steaks.
  4. Remove the steaks from the marinade and discard any leftover marinade. Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper to enhance their natural flavors.
  5. Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare. Flip the steaks and continue grilling for another 3-4 minutes, depending on your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.
  6. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy and flavorful steak.
  7. After resting, slice the steak against the grain for maximum tenderness. Serve it with your favorite sides or on its own, and relish every bite of this Rosemary Garlic Steak.

Notes

  • Marinating the steak enhances flavor and tenderness, so don’t skip this step!
  • Let your steak come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking.
  • Always let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
