- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken and barbecue sauce. Stir until fully coated.
- Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half to create a top and bottom segment for each slider.
- Place the bottom halves of the rolls in the baking dish. Evenly distribute the pulled BBQ chicken mixture over the rolls. Top with slices of cheddar cheese and red onions.
- Place the top halves of the rolls over the chicken and cheese.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and garlic salt. Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle with freshly chopped cilantro and serve warm.
Notes
- Feel free to customize with different sauces or toppings.
- These sliders can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
