Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: If using homemade pizza dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 12 inches by 14 inches. If using Pillsbury pizza dough, simply unroll it onto a piece of parchment paper.
- Step 3: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface of the dough, leaving about an inch around the edges for sealing.
- Step 4: Evenly layer the sliced mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the salami and pepperoni. Feel free to sprinkle jalapenos according to your spice preference.
- Step 5: Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll the dough toward the opposite side, keeping the filling tightly packed. Make sure to pinch the edges to seal it well.
- Step 6: Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to make a few diagonal slits on the top of the Stromboli for steam to escape.
- Step 7: Brush the top of the Stromboli with a beaten egg (optional) for a beautiful golden color. Sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes on top for extra flavor.
- Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Step 9: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into generous portions, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!
