Ingredients
  

For the Stromboli:
  • 1 package Pillsbury Pizza Dough 11oz (or homemade pizza crust)
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 lb sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 5 oz sliced salami
  • 5 oz sliced pepperoni
  • Jalapenos (fresh or pickled, to taste)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: If using homemade pizza dough, roll it out on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 12 inches by 14 inches. If using Pillsbury pizza dough, simply unroll it onto a piece of parchment paper.
  3. Step 3: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface of the dough, leaving about an inch around the edges for sealing.
  4. Step 4: Evenly layer the sliced mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the salami and pepperoni. Feel free to sprinkle jalapenos according to your spice preference.
  5. Step 5: Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll the dough toward the opposite side, keeping the filling tightly packed. Make sure to pinch the edges to seal it well.
  6. Step 6: Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to make a few diagonal slits on the top of the Stromboli for steam to escape.
  7. Step 7: Brush the top of the Stromboli with a beaten egg (optional) for a beautiful golden color. Sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes on top for extra flavor.
  8. Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Step 9: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into generous portions, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!
