Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour measured accurately
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder leavening agent
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil adds richness
  • 3/4 cup water adjust based on flour absorbency

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking Sheet or Pizza Stone
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up as well.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
  3. Make a well in the center of your dry ingredients. Add the olive oil and water into the well.
  4. Using a wooden spoon or your hands, mix until the dough starts to come together. If it feels too sticky, add more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  6. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into your desired shape and thickness.
  7. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or directly onto your preheated pizza stone.
  8. Add your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove your pizza from the oven, let it cool for a minute, slice, and enjoy!
