Ingredients
  

For the Base:
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter divided
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups Cocoa Pebbles divided
For the Butterscotch Layer:
  • 11 ounces butterscotch chips divided
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • 7 ounces marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup roasted lightly salted peanuts coarsely chopped
For the Chocolate Layer:
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips divided
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
Additional Ingredients:
  • 11 ounces KRAFT caramels or caramel bits

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Baking Dish: Start by lining your 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper. This will make it easier to lift the bars out once they’ve set.
  2. Step 2: Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, ½ cup of unsalted butter, and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Microwave these ingredients in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until everything is melted and well combined.
  3. Step 3: Add Cocoa Pebbles: Once the mixture is smooth, add in 3 cups of Cocoa Pebbles. Stir until the cereal is fully coated.
  4. Step 4: Form the Base Layer: Transfer the Cocoa Pebbles mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a rubber spatula to press it firmly into an even layer. Set aside to cool.
  5. Step 5: Prepare the Butterscotch Layer: In another microwave-safe bowl, combine 11 ounces of butterscotch chips and ½ cup of evaporated milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted, stirring until smooth. Add 7 ounces of marshmallow creme and 1 cup of coarsely chopped peanuts, stirring until fully incorporated.
  6. Step 6: Layer the Butterscotch Mixture: Spread the butterscotch mixture evenly over the Cocoa Pebbles base. Make sure to smooth it out to cover every inch.
  7. Step 7: Melt the Chocolate: In a clean microwave-safe bowl, melt the remaining 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips with ½ cup of evaporated milk. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  8. Step 8: Top with Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate over the butterscotch layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  9. Step 9: Chill the Bars: Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the bars to set completely.
