Ingredients

  • 1 cup yogurt nonfat vanilla or plain Greek
  • 2 cups fruit diced strawberries, blueberries, peaches, or any seasonal fruit
  • ½ cup granola for topping
  • Optional mix-ins chia seeds, nuts (like almonds or walnuts), coconut flakes, or a sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Sweetener honey or maple syrup to taste

Equipment

  • Glass jars or cups
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Start by washing and dicing your fruit if necessary. This will make layering easier and more visually appealing.
  2. Scoop 1 cup of yogurt into your glass or jar. If you prefer a sweeter base, mix in a bit of honey or maple syrup at this stage.
  3. Layer 1 cup of your chosen fruit over the yogurt. You can mix different fruits for a colorful and flavorful combination.
  4. Next, add ½ cup of granola on top of the fruit for that delightful crunch.
  5. If you’re feeling adventurous, sprinkle in some chia seeds, nuts, or coconut flakes to enhance the texture and nutritional value.
  6. To build a beautiful parfait, repeat the layers: another scoop of yogurt, more fruit, and granola until you reach the top of your glass.
  7. For an extra special touch, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a drizzle of sweetener on the top layer before serving.

Notes

  • Prepare yogurt and fruit layers ahead of time for convenience.
  • Layer granola just before serving to keep it crunchy.
  • Experiment with different types of yogurt for unique flavors.
