Cooking Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add your meatballs and pour in the marinara sauce. Stir gently to coat the meatballs, allowing them to heat through for about 5-7 minutes. The sauce should be bubbling and fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella (or your cheese of choice) and finely grated Parmesan cheese. This cheesy blend will create that delightful gooey texture.
- Lay out your burrito-size wraps on a clean surface. Spread a generous tablespoon of pesto on each wrap, ensuring you cover it evenly.
- Spoon a portion of the meatballs and marinara sauce onto each wrap, followed by a handful of the cheesy mixture. Be careful not to overfill, as these wraps need to be able to close!
- Fold in the sides of each wrap and roll them tightly from the bottom up, securing all the delicious fillings inside.
- In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Place the wrapped burritos seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and crispy.
- Transfer the wraps to a baking dish. Sprinkle any remaining cheese on top and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove the wraps from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Slice in half and serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping!
Notes
- Customize with sautéed vegetables like peppers or spinach for added nutrition.
- Try using different meats for variety; turkey or chicken work great!
- Experiment with cheese blends for unique flavors.
- For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes or jalapeños.
