  • 2 cans garbanzo beans or white beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup quick oats or 3/4 cup flour or almond meal
  • 1/4 cup applesauce or yogurt or pumpkin
  • 3 tbsp oil or 1/4 cup nut butter
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup homemade Nutella or peanut butter or chocolate spread
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar or xylitol
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (or more if desired)

Method
 

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat the Oven - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Beans - Rinse and drain the garbanzo beans thoroughly.
  3. Step 3: Blend the Base - In a food processor, combine the beans, oats, applesauce, oil, vanilla, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Sweeten the Deal - Add the sugar and pulse until incorporated. Adjust sweetness if necessary.
  5. Step 5: Fold in the Chocolate - Transfer to a bowl and fold in chocolate spread and chocolate chips.
  6. Step 6: Transfer to a Baking Dish - Grease your baking dish and pour the batter, spreading evenly.
  7. Step 7: Bake and Cool - Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
