Instructions
  1. Step 1: Toast Your Bread - Start by toasting your slices of bread until they are golden brown and crispy. This adds a delightful crunch to your toast.
  2. Step 2: Mash the Avocado - In a mixing bowl, take your ripe avocado and mash it with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency. You can leave it chunky for texture or mash it until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Season the Avocado - Add a pinch of sea salt and black pepper to your mashed avocado for extra flavor. Mix well.
  4. Step 4: Spread the Hummus - Take your toasted bread and spread 2 to 4 tablespoons of hummus on each slice, depending on how much you love hummus!
  5. Step 5: Layer the Avocado - Spoon the mashed avocado generously on top of the hummus. Use the back of the spoon to create a beautiful swirl.
  6. Step 6: Add Toppings - Sprinkle the chopped cherry tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese, and chopped pistachios on top of the avocado. Each bite will be a flavor explosion!
  7. Step 7: Final Touches - Finish off with a sprinkle of sea salt and black pepper to taste. Enjoy immediately while the toast is warm and the toppings are fresh!

Notes

  • Store leftover mashed avocado and hummus in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • To keep avocado fresh, squeeze lemon juice on it after mashing to slow down oxidation.
  • Feel free to experiment with toppings like arugula or a drizzle of tahini!
