Ingredients

  • 35 oz chicken wings fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons paprika
  • 2-3 tablespoons Golden Lakanto or another brown sugar alternative like Sukrin or Swerve
  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Oven or air fryer
  • Baking tray
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: If using frozen chicken wings, ensure they are fully thawed and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, Golden Lakanto, cracked black pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and mustard powder. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the spice mixture and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer for deeper flavor.
  5. Step 5: Line a baking tray with parchment paper or grease it. Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer.
  6. Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven or air fryer. Bake for 40-45 minutes in the oven, flipping halfway, or 25-30 minutes in the air fryer, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Step 7: Let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy hot with your favorite low-carb dipping sauces!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the wings for the last 2-3 minutes.
  • Increase chili powder for a spicier kick.
  • Experiment with other spices like smoked paprika or cumin.
  • These wings can be grilled for a smoky flavor.
