  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg well beaten
  • 1 cup flour sifted
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the peanut butter and add the beaten egg, mixing until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Whisk together the sifted flour and baking soda in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Step 5: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Step 7: Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
