Method

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Fish - Cut your chosen fish fillets into even strips, about 1 inch wide.
  2. Step 2: Season the Fish - In a large bowl, season the fish strips with salt and black pepper evenly.
  3. Step 3: Create the Egg Mixture - In another bowl, whisk together the egg and half and half until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Prepare the Breading Stations - Set up a breading station with flour, egg mixture, and breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Step 5: Bread the Fish - Dredge the fish strips in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.

  7. Step 7: Fry the Fish Sticks - Fry the breaded fish sticks for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Step 8: Drain and Serve - Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, try baking instead of frying; just preheat the oven to 425°F.
  • Feel free to customize the breading with your favorite spices or herbs.
  • Store uncooked breaded fish sticks in the freezer for quick meals later.
