Servings: 8 servings
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. whipped cream cheese
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 oz. dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1 bunch cilantro leaves fresh
  • 4 fresh jalapeños sliced, seeded
  • 1 lime lime fresh, juice

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Food processor or blender
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Rinse the cilantro leaves under cold water and pat them dry. Slice the jalapeños and remove the seeds if you prefer a milder dip.
  2. In your mixing bowl, add the 8 oz. of whipped cream cheese and 8 oz. of sour cream. Using a spatula, mix them together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Sprinkle in the 1 oz. of dry ranch dressing mix. This will enhance the flavor profile of your dip. Mix well until incorporated.
  4. Next, add the cilantro leaves and sliced jalapeños to the bowl. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over the mixture. This will add a refreshing zing to the dip.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a food processor or blender. Pulse until you achieve your desired consistency. If you prefer a chunkier dip, blend for a shorter time. For a smoother texture, blend longer!
  6. Give your Green Dip a taste! You might want to add more lime juice or even a pinch of salt, depending on your preference. Adjust accordingly.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled with your favorite dippers, such as tortilla chips, fresh vegetables, or pita bread. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add diced avocado.
  • Mix in diced tomatoes or corn for a fresh, seasonal twist.
  • This dip can be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw in the fridge before serving.
