Begin by washing the head of cauliflower thoroughly. Chop it into small florets, aiming for uniform pieces so they cook evenly.
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Once boiling, add the cauliflower florets. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the cauliflower is fork-tender.
Once cooked, drain the cauliflower in a colander and allow it to steam dry for a couple of minutes.
In a small pan, melt the salted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
In a blender or food processor, combine the drained cauliflower, sautéed garlic and butter, and cream cheese. Blend until smooth and creamy.
