  • 4 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk adds creaminess

  • 1 pinch salt balances sweetness

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk until well combined. Add the milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar, salt, and nutmeg. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Place a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of butter and let it melt, swirling to coat the surface.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow excess batter to drip off before placing on the griddle.
  4. Cook dipped bread slices for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.
  5. Serve hot with maple syrup and fresh fruit. Enjoy!

  • For a richer flavor, use whole milk or cream.
