  • 4 cups cooked chopped chicken Shredded or diced
  • 1 can French fried onions (6-oz)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Divided
  • 1 cup refrigerated sour cream French onion dip
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent dough sheets (8-oz)

Method:
  1. Step 1: Preheat the Oven - Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Filling - In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chopped chicken, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and the refrigerated sour cream French onion dip. Stir until well coated.
  3. Step 3: Assemble the Bake - Unroll one can of crescent dough sheets into a 9x13 inch baking dish and cover the bottom completely. Pour the chicken mixture evenly over the dough.
  4. Step 4: Add the Toppings - Sprinkle the remaining cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken mixture and add half of the French fried onions on top.
  5. Step 5: Cover with the Second Layer of Dough - Unroll the second can of crescent dough sheets over the filling and pinch the seams together.
  6. Step 6: Bake - Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Step 7: Final Touches - Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining French fried onions on top. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

  • This recipe is great for using leftover rotisserie chicken!
