Ingredients

  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup or maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk Use more if needed to reach desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Rubber spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Parchment paper
  • Double boiler (optional)

Method

  1. Start by measuring out all your ingredients accurately. This will make the process smoother and more efficient.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted, add the corn syrup (or maple syrup) and salt. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.
  4. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add in the milk, stirring until you reach your desired dipping consistency.
  5. Finally, stir in the vanilla extract for that extra layer of flavor.
  6. Now that your Easy Dipping Chocolate is ready, grab your fruits, pretzels, or whatever treats you want to dip. Dip each item into the chocolate and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Reheat in the microwave in short intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Add more milk if the chocolate thickens too much.
