- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 3: Place the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Step 4: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the salted butter and brown sugar. Stir continuously until it comes to a boil, then cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring until golden.

- Step 6: Pour the toffee over the arranged crackers, spreading evenly.
- Step 7: Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
- Step 8: Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let sit to melt.
- Step 9: Spread the melted chocolate evenly. Add optional toppings if desired.
- Step 10: Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 1 hour to set.
- Step 11: Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!
