Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon yellow onion grated (with the juices)
  • ½ cup good quality mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika not smoked
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring spoons
  • Storage Container

Method

  1. Start by grating the yellow onion. Make sure to include the juices, as this adds a depth of flavor to your sauce. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated onion, mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sweet paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Using a whisk or spoon, mix all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
  4. Give your sauce a taste. If you feel it needs a little more tang, add a dash more vinegar. If you want it sweeter, a bit more relish will do the trick!
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the flavors to meld beautifully.
  6. Once chilled, your Easy Copycat Big Mac Sauce is ready to serve! Slather it on your favorite burgers, use it as a dip for fries, or get creative with salads.

Notes

  • This sauce keeps well in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Try using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter version.
  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mix!
