Method:
- Begin by rinsing the chicken tenders under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
- In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, mix the olive oil (or melted butter), minced garlic, dried basil, and paprika. In a third bowl, combine the Panko breadcrumbs and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Coat each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the olive oil mixture, ensuring it’s well-coated. Finally, roll the tender in the Panko and Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For gluten-free, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.
- For dairy-free, substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
- Add cayenne pepper for a spicy kick!
