Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 8 ounces freshly shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 green onions finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans for coating

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Serving platter
  • Knife

Method

  1. Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and freshly shredded cheddar cheese. Use a spatula to thoroughly mix until well combined and creamy.
  3. Stir in the finely sliced green onions, Worcestershire sauce, dried chives, garlic powder, dried parsley, and sea salt. Mix until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Lay out a piece of plastic wrap on a clean surface. Spoon the cheese mixture onto the center of the plastic wrap. Gather the edges of the wrap and twist to form a tight ball shape. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  5. Once chilled, unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the finely chopped pecans until fully coated. The pecans add a delightful crunch and flavor.
  6. Transfer the cheese ball to a serving platter. Serve with an array of crackers, sliced veggies, or toasted bread. Enjoy the smiles as everyone digs in!
