Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter or non-stick spray.
- Open the package of buttermilk biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters.
- In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Toss the biscuit pieces with the melted butter and half of the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
- Spread the biscuit mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the biscuit pieces.
- Bake the cake for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the softened cream cheese and softened butter together until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until creamy.
- Once the cake has cooled slightly, drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the warm cake.
Notes
- Consider adding nuts or raisins for extra texture.
- A pinch of nutmeg can enhance the cinnamon flavor.
- This cake is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for a couple of days.
