Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Storage Container

Method

  1. Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure that the cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for easier mixing.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Using your hand mixer or stand mixer, beat together on medium speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Once your cream cheese and butter are well combined, add in the cinnamon and vanilla extract. Mix on low speed to incorporate the flavors.
  4. Gradually add the confectioners’ sugar, about a cup at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud from forming. Once all the sugar is added, increase the speed to medium and beat until the frosting is light and fluffy.
  5. Give your frosting a taste. If you’d like a stronger cinnamon flavor, feel free to add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and mix well.
  6. Your Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting is now ready to use! Spread it generously on your favorite baked goods, or transfer it to a storage container if you’re saving it for later.

Notes

  • Ensure your cream cheese and butter are softened for easier mixing.
  • Don’t rush the mixing process; beat until fluffy for the best texture.
  • If the frosting is too thick, add a splash of milk to reach desired consistency.
