Preparation Steps:
- Start by washing your fresh strawberries under cool water. Gently pat them dry with a paper towel; ensure they are completely dry before dipping, as moisture can prevent the chocolate from adhering properly.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat, as chocolate can seize.
- Holding the strawberry by the green leafy top, dip it into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat it thoroughly. Let any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
- If you'd like to add toppings, sprinkle them over the chocolate-coated strawberries while the chocolate is still wet. This ensures that the toppings stick well.
- Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat the dipping process with the remaining strawberries. Once all are dipped, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has fully set.
- Once the chocolate is firm, your Chocolate Covered Strawberries are ready to be enjoyed! Arrange them on a serving platter for a beautiful display.
Notes
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
- Make sure strawberries are at room temperature before dipping.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
