Ingredients
  

For the Pie:
  • 1 each refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon real almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder

Method
 

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Unroll the refrigerated pie crust and fit it into your 9-inch pie dish. Trim excess dough and poke holes with a fork.
  3. Step 3: Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, cocoa powder, sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, almond extract, and espresso powder. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Step 5: Pour the chocolate filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 30-35 minutes until set around the edges but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Step 7: Let the pie cool on a wire rack, then slice and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

  • For enhanced flavor, add a pinch of sea salt to the filling.
  • Chill the pie overnight for even better taste!
  • Top with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for a beautiful presentation.
