Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your 9x13 inch baking dish lightly with butter or non-stick spray.
- Pour the cherry pie filling into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Evenly sprinkle the chocolate cake mix over the cherry filling.
- Distribute the pats of unsalted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving.
