Ingredients

For the Sandwiches:
  • 8 slices good crusty white bread
  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 10.5 oz Brie sliced
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Skillet or Griddle
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Method

Instructions:
  1. Start by peeling and mincing the 5 garlic cloves. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic with the 2 sticks of softened butter. Mix well until the garlic is evenly distributed throughout the butter. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Take your 8 slices of bread and spread a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice.
  3. On the non-buttered side of 4 slices, place slices of brie cheese. Be sure to cover the bread evenly for maximum cheese pull!
  4. Place the remaining 4 slices of bread butter-side up on top of the brie-covered slices.
  5. Heat your skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once hot, place the sandwiches in the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  6. Once toasted to perfection, remove the sandwiches from the skillet. Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a fresh touch. Cut each sandwich in half and serve warm for the best experience.

Notes

  • Don’t skimp on the butter – it’s essential for flavor and achieving that golden crust.
  • Use a medium heat to prevent burning the bread while ensuring the cheese melts thoroughly.
  • Press down lightly on the sandwiches while cooking to help the melting process and achieve even browning.
