Ingredients

  • 12 oz ziti pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken diced
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Large mixing bowl
  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Oven
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 12 oz ziti pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (usually about 9-11 minutes). Drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups Alfredo sauce, 1/2 cup softened cream cheese, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  3. Fold in 2 cups diced cooked chicken and 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce mixture. Then add the cooked ziti and gently toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray. Pour the pasta mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the ziti.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley over the top for a pop of color and freshness. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy goodness!

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick, convenient option.
  • Substitute ziti with penne, rigatoni, or shells if desired.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days and reheat gently.
