Ingredients
  

For the Knots:
  • 1 lb store-bought pizza dough thawed at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian flat leaf parsley finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese grated
For Dusting:
  • all-purpose flour for dusting and rolling out
Seasoning:
  • salt to taste

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Dust your clean workspace with all-purpose flour. Roll out the thawed pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and a pinch of salt, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove from heat.
  3. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the rolled-out dough. Cut the dough into strips, about 1 inch wide.
  4. Take each strip and tie it into a knot, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each knot.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the knots for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Let the knots cool slightly before serving warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
  • Shape knots and refrigerate before baking for a quick meal later.
