Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts or tenders
  • 1 cup Frank's hot sauce or wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed for the best flavor)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Grill pan or skillet
  • Tongs

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Frank's hot sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, olive oil, and salt until well combined.
  2. Place the boneless chicken breasts or tenders in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
  3. When you’re ready to cook, heat your grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off. Place the chicken in the hot pan or on the grill, cooking for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. Slice the chicken if desired and serve it with your favorite sides, such as a fresh salad or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes for optimal flavor.
  • Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
  • Fresh lime juice makes a significant difference in taste.
