Ingredients
  

  • 1 can white kidney (cannellini) beans drained
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 unit lemon Juice of
  • 5-6 leaves Fresh basil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients. Drain and rinse the white kidney beans, mince the garlic cloves, and squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  2. In a food processor, add the drained white kidney beans. Blend them for a few seconds until they start to break down.
  3. Add the minced garlic and olive oil to the food processor. Blend again until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides with a spatula to ensure everything is well combined.
  4. Add the fresh basil leaves and the lemon juice to the food processor. Blend until the basil is finely chopped and fully integrated into the dip.
  5. Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste. Blend again for a few seconds to combine the seasonings.
  6. Transfer your Basil & Garlic White Bean Dip to a serving bowl. Drizzle a little olive oil on top for added flavor and garnish with a basil leaf if desired. Serve it with fresh vegetables, pita chips, or your favorite crackers.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • For a smoother dip, add a tablespoon of water or olive oil if it’s too thick.
  • Feel free to substitute with other beans like navy beans or chickpeas.
