Cooking Steps:
- Step 1: Prepare the Marinade. In a mixing bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until they are well blended, creating a smooth marinade.
- Step 2: Marinate the Chicken. Add the chicken strips to the bowl, ensuring they are evenly coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer everything into a resealable plastic bag. Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to an hour, or even overnight for maximum flavor.
- Step 3: Cook the Chicken. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off, and place the strips in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C). If desired, you can pour any remaining marinade into the skillet during the last few minutes of cooking to create a thicker glaze.
- Step 4: Serve and Enjoy. Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve them warm, drizzled with extra glaze if desired, alongside your favorite sides.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, ensure the balsamic vinegar is gluten-free.
- Increase cayenne pepper or add jalapeños for extra heat.
