Ingredients
  

  • 1 slice whole-grain bread hearty loaf
  • 1/2 avocado ripe avocado
  • 1 large egg fresh
  • 1 teaspoon butter unsalted
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper freshly cracked
  • optional Red pepper flakes or hot sauce

  • Toaster or toaster oven

Method
 

  1. Start by toasting your slice of whole-grain bread until it’s golden brown and crispy. This will provide a sturdy base for the avocado and egg.
  2. While the bread is toasting, cut your ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a small bowl. Use a fork to mash it to your desired consistency.
  3. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper to the mashed avocado. Mix well and set aside.
  4. In a non-stick skillet, melt the teaspoon of butter over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook it to your liking.
  5. Once the bread is toasted, spread the seasoned avocado over the top. Carefully place the cooked egg on top of the avocado.
  6. Sprinkle a few red pepper flakes or drizzle your favorite hot sauce on top for an extra kick.
  7. Enjoy your avocado toast with egg immediately while it’s warm and fresh.
