Instructions:
- Gather all your ingredients and ensure your banana is frozen. The frozen banana will give your smoothie a creamy texture and chill it perfectly.
- Start by adding the fresh spinach leaves to your high-speed blender. Pour in the unsweetened vanilla almond milk or your milk of choice. Blend on high until the spinach is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
- Next, add the frozen banana slices and the medium avocado. If you're using protein powder or almond butter, add that in as well, along with the pure vanilla extract.
- Taste your smoothie and decide if you’d like to add honey or pure maple syrup. Start with a small amount and adjust to your sweetness preference.
- Blend all the ingredients together until you achieve a creamy, smooth consistency. If you like your smoothie colder or thicker, add ice and blend again.
- Pour your Avocado Smoothie (With Protein!) into a glass or jar. You can garnish it with a sprinkle of chia seeds or a slice of banana if you’re feeling fancy. Enjoy immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- For a thicker consistency, add more frozen banana or avocado.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
- Feel free to customize with different fruits like berries or mango.
