Ingredients
  

For the Smoothie:
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves firm packed
  • 1 medium banana cut into slices and frozen
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 medium avocado
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder or 1 tablespoon almond butter + ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 to 3 teaspoons honey or pure maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice as needed

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Gather all your ingredients and ensure your banana is frozen. The frozen banana will give your smoothie a creamy texture and chill it perfectly.
  2. Start by adding the fresh spinach leaves to your high-speed blender. Pour in the unsweetened vanilla almond milk or your milk of choice. Blend on high until the spinach is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Next, add the frozen banana slices and the medium avocado. If you're using protein powder or almond butter, add that in as well, along with the pure vanilla extract.
  4. Taste your smoothie and decide if you’d like to add honey or pure maple syrup. Start with a small amount and adjust to your sweetness preference.
  5. Blend all the ingredients together until you achieve a creamy, smooth consistency. If you like your smoothie colder or thicker, add ice and blend again.
  6. Pour your Avocado Smoothie (With Protein!) into a glass or jar. You can garnish it with a sprinkle of chia seeds or a slice of banana if you’re feeling fancy. Enjoy immediately for the best texture and flavor.

  • For a thicker consistency, add more frozen banana or avocado.
