Ingredients
  

For the Marinade:
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
For the Salmon:
  • 1 fillet salmon no skin
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
For Garnish:
  • sesame seeds
  • chopped green onions

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, maple syrup, sweet chili sauce, lime juice, ginger, and garlic. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Place the salmon fillet on a piece of aluminum foil. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  5. Fold the aluminum foil over the salmon to create a packet. Seal tightly.
  6. Place the foil packet on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Carefully open the foil packet, and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the salmon before serving.

Notes

  • For a lower-calorie option, substitute maple syrup with agave syrup.
  • Try using sriracha instead of sweet chili sauce for a spicier kick.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
