Preparation Steps:
- Step 1: Prepare the Chicken - Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Pound the chicken until about ½ inch thick.
- Step 2: Make the Filling - Layer mozzarella and basil on one side of each chicken breast, then fold over and secure with toothpicks.
- Step 3: Breading the Chicken - Set up a breading station with flour, eggs, and a breadcrumb mixture. Dredge the chicken in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Step 4: Air Fry the Chicken - Spray the air fryer basket and place the chicken inside. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Step 5: Add Marinara Sauce - Remove chicken, add marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella, then return to air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
