Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 tsp oregano optional
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Food processor or blender
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spatula

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: If using fresh cauliflower, wash and cut it into florets. If using frozen, ensure it's thawed and drained. Optionally, pulse in a food processor until finely chopped.
  3. Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped cauliflower, cheddar cheese, and egg. Add oregano and garlic powder if using. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Step 4: Form the mixture into bite-sized balls or patties, ensuring they are tightly packed.
  5. Step 5: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the bites on it, leaving space between each. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Step 6: Let the bites cool for a few minutes before serving warm as a snack or appetizer.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
  • Make ahead by preparing the mixture a day in advance and refrigerating it.
