Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: If using fresh cauliflower, wash and cut it into florets. If using frozen, ensure it's thawed and drained. Optionally, pulse in a food processor until finely chopped.
- Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped cauliflower, cheddar cheese, and egg. Add oregano and garlic powder if using. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Step 4: Form the mixture into bite-sized balls or patties, ensuring they are tightly packed.
- Step 5: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the bites on it, leaving space between each. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Step 6: Let the bites cool for a few minutes before serving warm as a snack or appetizer.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
- Make ahead by preparing the mixture a day in advance and refrigerating it.
