2 Ingredient Dough Naan (No yeast!)

This 2 Ingredient Dough Naan is SO EASY! Whip up warm, fluffy naan in no time with just two ingredients!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 3/4 cups self-rising flour gluten-free option available
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt any type, or plant-based for vegan
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter optional for brushing

  • Rolling Pin
  • Skillet or Griddle
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1-2 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces, roll each into a ball, and flatten slightly with your hands.
  4. Using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a flatbread shape about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat for a few minutes.
  6. Place one rolled-out naan in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until bubbles form. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. If desired, brush melted butter on top of the naan as soon as it comes off the skillet.
  8. Repeat the cooking process for the remaining pieces of dough.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dishes or enjoy on its own!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Freeze naan wrapped in plastic for up to 3 months, thaw before reheating.
  • Reheat in a skillet for about 1 minute per side or microwave for 15-20 seconds.
