Ingredients

For the Dough:
  • 1 cup self-rising flour plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 spray Cooking spray
  • to taste Lowry's Garlic Salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Oven
  • Rolling Pin

Method

Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour with the Greek yogurt. Stir until a dough begins to form. It should be slightly sticky but manageable.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and transfer the dough onto it. Knead the dough for about 1-2 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. If it’s too sticky, sprinkle a bit more flour as needed.
  3. Divide the dough into equal pieces, about 8-10. Roll each piece into a long, thin stick, approximately 6-8 inches in length.
  4. Spray your baking sheet with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper. Place the shaped breadsticks on the sheet, leaving space between each stick.
  5. Generously sprinkle Lowry's Garlic Salt over the top of each breadstick. Adjust according to your garlic preference.
  6. Bake the breadsticks in your preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. Watch them to prevent over-baking.
  7. Once baked, remove the breadsticks from the oven and allow them to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with marinara sauce, olive oil, or your favorite dip!

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Prepare the dough and shape the breadsticks, then refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for longer.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes to regain fluffiness.
